| so i really suck at writing in this thing. end of the semester is rapidly approaching and i am definitely ready for it. but in the meantime, i am even more definitely not ready for my ochem final on monday. so back to work for the eunice.
coming soon: the year in review. what exactly did eunice learn this semester? and it was definitely not chemistry. unfortunately.

| okay, so haven't updated in forever. classes are keeping me busy. my course load this semester is unbelievable. i just took my physics test today, turned in a physics lab, have ochem test tomorrow, and a philosophy test on friday. i feel sorry for me. lol but in other, more interesting news, attended Austin City Limits this past weekend, which is a 3 day music festival in Austin with over 130 bands performing on 8 different stages. I only bought tickets for Sunday, which was the day Coldplay was playing to close the festival. And I love Coldplay. And anyone I've talked to for the past few days has heard this story several times I'm sure. But yes. Got there at noon and stayed the whole time until 10 pm. Sunday also happened to be the hottest day of the summer, with a high of 107. And despite feeling like i was gonna pass out at some points, the day was completely worth it when i saw coldplay. before that, though, i saw the new amsterdams, eisley, kaiser chiefs, jason mraz, and franz ferdinand. i don't even like jason mraz and the only song i know by franz ferdinand is take me out. but they were performing on the same stage as coldplay, so i sat through their concerts to get a good spot in front of the stage. yes, i am a loser. but yes. so stood in front of the sbc stage for 4 hours before coldplay finally came on. and it was so crowded near the front and so hot. i don't think i've ever sweat so much in my life. every inch of me was drenched in sweat. and i am also ridiculously sunburnt around the edges of my tanktop i was wearing so i will walk around for the rest of the year with a ridiculous tanline. but all of that was worth it to be able to see coldplay from 20 feet away. it was amazing. the second they ran out on stage i completely lost my mind. i screamed and sang and clapped along. chris martin was running all over the stage and anytime he came near i frantically took pictures. at one point he ran down the middle aisle they kept open and climbed up on the scaffolding where the lighting guys were and sang to the back of the audience. there was over 50,000 people there for the concert. it was absolutely incredible. all that shit i went through during the day was completely worth it for that hour and a half concert. it was wonderful. i don't even know how to explain it. but yes. and now for pictures! because. good lord. chris martin is a god.

so yes. moral of the story? coldplay is wonderful and chris martin is my hero. | | |
| so. first night back last night was...interesting. and i remember all of it, which is a good sign. lots of fun was had. incessantly hit on by some guy, though. who kept bragging he was in varsity football and valedictorian of his class. but i have to say, my sat score blew his out of the water. that's right bitch. wants to take me to outback for dinner...where he works, so he gets like a 50% discount. which he also kept bragging about. lol what a loser. although i then gave him my number so he could call me. smart move, eunice. it's nice to be back though. i'm in my own apartment! eeee! | | |
| when is it time to goooooooo? i've been home foreeeveeerrrr. am going craaazyyyyyy. | | |
| loading all my furniture onto the uhaul today then driving up tomorrow to start unpacking. and then moving in for real the next friday. have started packing all my stuff up. have so much crap. don't know where it all came from. hopefully everything'll fit. but nonetheless, am so excited. i've really been ambivalent about this coming year, but now that it's actually here i can't wait. i'm still not a very big ut fan necessarily, but i heart my friends and i heart austin. since i'm stuck here in texas, it's not too shabby a place to spend my time. austin is really cool. plus, i have the dalai lama, coldplay concert, and then austin city limits where i will see coldplay again, plus franz ferdinand and kaiser chiefs. and that's all in one week. i think with a car, i'll be able to see and do so much more in austin and won't be stuck on campus all the time. i think that's what i'm looking forward to the most. cuz austin is such an indie little town and there's so much to discover. and i'm going to do it all. plus i can't wait to see all my friends again and hang out in my new apartment. and we're making steps at the whole i'm a longhorn thing as well. i'm actually considering a longhorn sticker to put on my car. that has to be improvement, right? | | |
